Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Calivra. By connecting a wallet, by buying or selling a coin through this site, or by creating one, you agree to them.

Read the Risk disclosure as well. It is short, it is the part that matters most, and you will be asked to confirm you have read it before your first buy or your first coin.

1. What Calivra is

Calivra is an interface. It shows information about coins and it helps you send transactions to public contracts on Robinhood Chain, a network operated by Robinhood.

The contracts are the product. They have no owner, no administrator and no privileged account. Once a coin exists, nobody, including us, can pause it, freeze it, take it back, or stop a transfer.

2. We are not a broker, an exchange or an adviser

We do not hold your money. We do not hold your coins. We never take custody of anything, at any point, and there is no account balance with us. Your wallet holds your keys and you sign every transaction yourself.

Nothing on this site is advice, a recommendation, or an offer to sell you anything. We do not match buyers with sellers, we do not operate a market, and we do not set any price. Prices come from a formula in a public contract that anyone can read.

3. Who may use it

You may use Calivra only if all of the following are true.

• You are 18 or older.
• You are not in a country where we do not offer this service. The list is on the Where this works page.
• You are not on a sanctions list, and you are not acting for anybody who is.
• Using this site does not break the law where you are.

We check the country a request comes from and we do not serve the site in some of them. This control restricts our own interface and nothing else. The contracts are public and permissionless. Anybody with a network connection and a few lines of code can use them without ever loading this site, and we have no way to prevent that. We say this plainly because claiming a control we do not have would itself be a false statement.

4. Wallet checks

We check every connected wallet against sanctions lists and refuse to serve a match. If the check does not answer, we refuse to serve the action rather than letting it through unchecked.

The check has limits and we would rather state them. It compares the address you connected against a list of addresses. It does not identify you, it does not tell us who holds a key, and one person can hold as many keys as they like. Our default list covers digital currency addresses published by the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control, on an exact address match, and it is exactly as current as the copy we last published.

If your address is refused and you think that is wrong, write to reports@calivra.trade with the address. These lists change in both directions and we will look at it.

5. What you are responsible for

• Every transaction you sign, and everything that happens as a result of it.
• The security of your own wallet, your keys and your recovery phrase. We can never recover them and we will never ask you for them.
• Checking the address of any contract before you interact with it.
• Everything you publish through this site: a coin name, a ticker, a description, an image, a link.
• Any tax you owe. We do not report anything to any tax authority on your behalf.

6. Creating a coin

When you create a coin, the name, ticker, image reference and description you enter are written to a public network permanently. We can stop showing a coin on this site. We cannot delete it from the network, and other sites may still show it.

You must not create a coin that impersonates a person, a company or a public official, that uses somebody else's trade mark or artwork without permission, that promotes violence or hatred, that promises anybody a profit, or that breaks any of the rules on the Content policy page.

If you break those rules we will remove the coin from this site, we may stop your wallet from creating new coins here, and where the law requires it we will report it.

7. What we may do about content

We may label, blur, demote, refuse to trade, or hide any coin on this site, with or without notice. Doing that changes what this site shows. It does not change the network, it does not affect anybody who holds the coin, and it does not stop anybody from trading it elsewhere.

Every one of those decisions is recorded with a reason, and there is an appeal. The Content policy page describes the process and the Report a coin page describes how to raise something with us.

8. Fees

Our fees are listed in full on the Fees page, with what each one is for and who receives it. Nothing is charged that is not on that page. Network fees are paid to the network and never to us.

9. Availability

We may change, suspend or stop this site at any time, without notice. If we do, the contracts keep running and your coins keep existing, because neither depends on us.

10. No warranty

This site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, correct or free of errors. Prices, charts, balances and risk labels are read from a network and an index that can lag, break, or disagree with each other. Check the network itself before you rely on any figure here.

The contracts have not been through an external audit. Nobody outside this team has reviewed them. We say that on the coin page beside the buy panel, at the top of the create flow, in the risk disclosure you have to read before your first trade, and on the What things mean page, and we repeat it here.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of money, coins or data that arises from using this site, from any coin created through it, from any transaction you sign, from any failure of the network, or from anything anybody else does on this site.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Disputes

If something goes wrong, write to legal@calivra.trade first. Most things are solved that way and we read everything sent there.

13. Changes to these terms

We version these terms. When they change, the version number goes up and the date changes, and the next time you try to buy, sell or create a coin we will show you what changed and ask you to accept the new version. An acceptance of an earlier version is never treated as an acceptance of a later one.

14. The state of this document

This version has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It is written to be accurate and readable rather than to be complete, and the version number stays below 1.0 until counsel has been through it. We are telling you that rather than presenting a draft as a finished agreement.
